Autonomous Learning Strategies for Academic Speaking by English Education Department Students

Autonomous is the individual capacity to take responsibility for their own learning activities. adapted method that learners use obtain needs and goals, determine most current method, assess activity. This research aims at identifying students’ autonomous strategies in academic speaking class. There were 20 students from English Education Department involved gather data. study employed a quantitative approach order get The data taken by using questionnaire. result shows general description of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong was not included specific how strategy particularly speaking. researcher found two kinds which metacognitive social mediation strategy.
